EAGLE EYE OF PARK CITY

Ashley Widders

Ashley WiddersIn 1994, I moved to Salt Lake City and quickly became humbled by the vast mountain ranges and the incredible snow in Utah.  I have spent the past thirteen years exploring all of the mountain resorts in Utah, and collected over a thousand days of skiing in all the local ski resorts and in the magnificent backcountry. I would like to share my vast knowledge, experience, and love of the great Wasatch Mountains with you and your family or group. I can fulfill your ground transportation needs, provide you with a tour of one of the seven ski resorts, provide suggestions on lodging and dining, assist you with discount tickets, and advise and assist you in selecting the best ski resort for your groups ability.  My goal is to satisfy your every desire for a memorable and enjoyable trip.  I opened Resort Transportation and Guide Service (RTG) in the fall of 2002 to do just that.

In 2004 one of my clients and now friend purchased a home in the old town part of Park City and needed some one she could trust to keep an eye on things while she was back home in Atlanta, so she asked if I could just stop by once and a while to check on her home. I agreed that I could watch over the house and let her know how things were going.  She gave me the keys and a new phase of friendship was started. Over the past few years this trust has been extended to me through word of mouth to where I now keep an eye open for seven homes.  I decided I needed a new business license and that I now needed to advertise so I opened up Eagle Eye of Park City in September of 2007.

My new goals have changed since I first opened up RTG back in 2002. I am now hoping to gain the trust of 40 home owners and only provide transportation to their family and rental clients. Being on a personable level will develop a tight nit family of home owners that can help each other obtain the goal that we share together. I know some of my friends or clients of mine might look at that last statement and make a little fun at me, but that is what I would like to see in this less then perfect world we live in. The last clients that signed up for property management said they like my straight forward attitude towards my services and how I present myself. After the meeting while driving down the road I thought to myself how much I like that statement and that is how I want my new clients to know me. I am not writing this bio to tell you what the public should know about me but for what my new clients and hopefully new friends will know about me. I am not the kind of person to sit in close doors in order to hide my true self from public eyes. I know some of what I say might scare people off but if I can’t be real then who am I and who do you think I am. One thing that I am not is a politician.

Right now in my life I love the great outdoors and everything that Salt Lake City and the Wasatch National Forest has to offer. I will reside in this pristine area for awhile to come and have since 1994. Many of my interests are outdoor driven that include skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and backcountry skiing are my winter loves. With that said you might think my favorite season would be winter, but in actuality fall is the greatest season in Utah. The seasons change, cooling temperatures and leafs falling simply put, moves me. Spring to me is second, skiing from 9:00am to noon in 45 degree temperatures at 9000ft and then returning to the SLC valley for around of golf in 65 degree temperatures at 4500 ft is great combination that I could compare to surfing in the morning and snowboarding later in the day. In the summer I love to mountain bike, hike, golf, whitewater raft, rock climb and visit Utah’s National Parks. The outdoors is where I hang my heart.

My family is spread all over the US from North Carolina to Texas. My parents are retired from accounting and safety management and starting a dream home on Toledo Bend Lake on the border of Texas and Louisiana. My only sibling/sister is married with one child and lives outside Ashville North Carolina. She is a full time Mom and her husband writes for the local sports page. Well what I’m getting at is my family here in Utah is the friends and visitors that travel to Utah which is why I get excited when winter is knocking at our door step. That means friends and families are coming to ski.

I hope this all gives you a small break down of who I am and what makes me tick. Give me a call or email me some time or if you like the outdoors come tag along with me on an adventure.
