Ashley
Widders |
In
1994, I moved to Salt Lake City from Sun Valley, ID. After
being in Sun Valley for a short four months, I quickly realized
that there was just not enough snow for a long ski season.
A friend opened my eyes to the Wasatch Mountain Range, where
I was in awe of the tremendous snow and great terrain. During
the first year that I rode in Utah, a friend and a long-time
employee of Snowbird introduced me to the resort. I now believe
every visitor could benefit from a ski guide. I realized how
much time I could save by having a knowledgeable ski guide
show me the way.
The ski guide eliminated the need for a map or searching
for a ski patrol to learn where to go and which areas to avoid.
But most of all, the ski guide eliminated all the confusion
that often arises when groups are trying to make a decision
on what run to ski. Creating a sense of comfort is where the
mountain guides from RTG steps in. I believe in our resort
guides so much that RTG will guarantee your satisfaction are
refund your money.
Having
experienced the tremendous benefits from a great ski guide,
I want to share my knowledge and experience with you. I have
spent the past nine years exploring all of the mountain resorts
in Utah, and collected over a thousand days of skiing in all
the local ski resorts and in the magnificent backcountry.
I would like to share my vast knowledge, experience and love
of the great Wasatch Mountains with you and your group. I
can fulfill your ground transportation needs, provide you
with a tour of one of the seven ski resorts, provide suggestions
on lodging and dining, assist you with discount tickets, and
advice and assist you in selecting the best ski resort for
your groups ability. My goal is to satisfy your every desire
for a memorable and enjoyable trip. I opened Resort Transportation
and Guide Service (RTG) in the fall of 2002 to do just that.

Chris
Mautz
|

Chris
was born and raised in Durham, NH and moved to Utah in 1997.
Upon graduating from Lehigh University in 1994, Chris moved to
Jackson Hole, WY to experience the western skiing.
Needless to say, after 100 days riding the Jackson Tram, he fell
in love with what he sampled. After two years in Boston, Chris
and his wife, Amy made their way to the west and found the Wasatch
Cache mountain range.
Chris has had either an Alta or Alta/Snowbird pass for the last
six seasons and has also spent time at Snowbasin and believes
that is a resort not to be missed on a weeklong trip to Utah.
Chris has been a concert promoter since moving to Utah. One of
his next major projects is teaching his two year old daughter,
Charlotte how to rip some turns. Chris is an RTG guide at Alta
and Snowbird.

Brett Pelletier |
 A
White Mountain skier born native to New Hampshire, Brett Pelletier,
migrated with a group of close friends to the Wasatch Range seven
years ago.
He developed a passion for skiing as racer throughout his childhood,
and progressed as an all mountain skier at Wildcat Mountain and
Tuckerman’s Ravine, Mount Washington. For easier access to
bigger resorts and backcountry powder he now calls Salt Lake City
home. Here he has discovered new adventures in rock climbing the
granite walls of little cottonwood canyon, fishing for lunkers in
the famous Provo River, and canyoneering through secret southern
Utah’s slot canyons.
Meanwhile, he has sharpened his skills as a photographer along
the way. Take part in his next adventure; whether it be a skiing
a secret powder stash, climbing a shady crag in 110° heat, slaying
20” rainbows on the river, or rappelling into waste deep water
in a narrow canyon. See what he’s doing today….. http://groups.msn.com/deepfrogphoto/home.htm

Brian Menzies |
B. R. Menzies, a guide, adventure racer and health
care professional, has skied for nearly 28 years, fifteen of which
were dedicated to racing every corner of North America. Brian grew
up in southeastern Wisconsin skiing Ausblick Mountain. This mountain
still consists of one slow triple chair and 175’ of total
vertical.
He
has been a Junior Olympic Champion in two consecutive years and
attended Whiteman Ski Academy in Steamboat Springs. During undergraduate
school at the University of Utah, Brian discovered the solitude
of the backcountry skiing in the Cottonwood Canyons. He has had
the opportunity to ski in Europe and New Zealand. Now with his own
chiropractic and rehab clinic, over 10 years of backcountry skiing
experience and the local knowledge of all the ski resorts in the
Salt Lake City area, you could enjoy a day ripping turns down steep
faces or in a few of his secret powder stashes at any resort in
the entire Wasatch Range.
